« on: August 24, 2007, 09:37:15 PM »

I'm here. I just moved onto campus yesterday and now I'm really tired. I no air conditioning on my floor so its hot and sticky and there are a lot of activities going on around campus for the the new freshman. So, I'm tuckered out real well, but I'll try to get back on track with the site. Soon. Just not today.

Manga Reviews By Title / Lady and the Bodyguard
« on: July 16, 2007, 01:46:53 PM »

Mangaka: TODA Megumi
Genre: shoujo, mature
Status: complete (1 volume)
Reviewer: L. T. Sapphire
Reviewer Rating: 4/10
Summary: Kaoru is sixteen years old, an heiress to a rich family, and in love. Problem? None, except she hasn?t seen her love for ten years!
Comments: Short read, simple, smutty and rather predictable if you read enough shoujo mangas. If you?re just bored looking for something to do it?s a nice time killer.

Manga Reviews By Title / Crimson Hero

Mangaka: Mitsuba Takanashi
Genre: Drama, sports
Status: Ongoing (by Ivyscan)
Reviewer: L. T. Sapphire
Reviewer Rating: 10/10
Summary: It?s about this fifteen year old high school chick who is just obsessed with Volleyball. Nobura is this chick?s name and attends this one school because of volleyball. Her mother, however, despises the sport and wishes for Nobura to take on the family business (Seiryu) as a hostess. This chick is a flat out tomboy and added to her short hair she tends to dress like a boy. Of course her mom is all upset over it. It gets worse when Nobura finds out there is no girls volleyball team!
Comments: Takanashi is also the famed mangaka of Akuma de Sourou (The Devil Does Exist) Which I might add has been serialized into a drama. Anyways back to this fantastic manga. The characters are as believable as can be and the drama is just oh so intense. I definite must read.

Manga Reviews By Title / Ayashi no Ceres

Mangaka: Yuu Watase
Genre: fantasy/sci fi, shoujo, romance
Status: Complete
Reviewer: L. T. Sapphire
Reviewer Rating: na
Summary: Aya and her twin brother Aki have just turned 16, but because of a particular legend, Aya was ordered to be killed by her grandfather. Aya makes her escape and is rescued by Yuuhi and Suzumi who takes her in. The only problem is, her family still wants her dead. However things become problematic when she finds that she's wanted alive for none too pleasant reasons by someone else.
Comments: No rating from me because I watched the anime and have yet to read the manga. It?s an intense little tale of fairies and grudges that can be held for thousands of years apparently. Watase?s other works include: Alice 19ths, Imadoki and Absolute Boyfriend

Korean Entertainment / 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant - Movie
« on: June 28, 2007, 02:52:05 PM »
It's a hysterical movie, where this chick ends up with Mr. Arrogant due to an innocent little can that she had decided to take out her frustrations on.

I love it, though I personally think the lead male is ugly, its really funny. Seriously wait till you get to the elevator scene.

General Manga Discussion / Tired of extracting files?
« on: June 17, 2007, 08:38:35 AM »
There's a program out there called CDisplay. It's a small little thing that allows you to drag zipped files including .rar and .zip extentions. Even the not so often used .cbz extensions can be read with this program. You just drag the file unziped into he program and voila, using the page up/down keys you can go through page by page of each manga.

Okay, I really think there should be passwords on the manga that you can only get from the forums. It just bothers me that the site gets so many frickin' visitors and there's no one on the forums. I know the whole point of this site was for free manga and all, but it'd be nice to talk to some other people besides the ones that are bored with nothing to do. Namely me.

General Anime Discussion / How desperate are you?
« on: June 16, 2007, 06:09:16 AM »
How do you get your fill of anime?

Y'know there's Youtube, Bittorrent, and other major download sites. There are also the fansubbers site and IRC, how exactly do you folks do it.

I personally use youtube, but that's just me. I'm just angry because Full Moon Wo Sagashite isn't on there.

and yes I do watched licensed anime on youtube.

Art Creations / Signature Requests

Leora's Signatures

Actually this is my way of forcing myself to work on my Adobe skills. So tell me what you want, like colors, images, quotes, what's to be written, and all that sort of jolly stuff on this topic and just leave it to me.

In case you didn't know a signature is added at the end of every message, you can see mine below. It's got the obnoxious picture of Rosette on there with my name splattered on it. A signature doesn't necessarily have to be an image, it can also be written too, like a few inspirational quotes. So, if you're new to the forum fool around with the signature, it's a way of identifying yourself. Especially for me since I match signatures with names.

Animes by Title / Ouran High School Host Club
« on: April 11, 2007, 02:18:01 PM »

A lower middle class student, Haruhi Fujioka, is a scholarship student at Ouran High School. Problem? It's a rich school, for rich students with a lot of time on their hands. So what do these kids do with a lot of time on their hands? Why go visit the Host Club of course, well at leat the ladies do. Haruhi accidently stumbles upon this club in the unused music room of this school. However she finds herself with a hefty debt after breaking a ridiculously expensive vase. So, she works off this hefty sum as a "dog" of the Host Club.

Y'know... there's another problem. Host Club members are boys, and well... let's just say the school believes Haruhi to be male.

No one remembers little old me? Ah well, I'll make a new name for myself.

L. T. Sapphire, Leora Tallis Sapphire, my online alias and that's all you may know name wise.

Senior in high school, swamped between Interact, Teen Arts, Concert Band, Yearbook, and just academics in general. Hence by extended dissappearance whom no one seems to care of.

I'll make an attempt to be on more frequently. To give Goldlilys a hand.
