The new links certainly work now.

Goldlilys, thanks for uploading these files to Savefile.  When I scroll through this topic, I see so many requests that I realize yet again how much work it is maintaining this site-- so I really appreciate this.   :icon_flower:

I hate to say it, but Yuki annoys me a bit.  She's your typical goodhearted, naive girl who's kind of helpless and doesn't seem to have much native curiosity-- in that she doesn't seem to know much about anybody's past, and doesn't seem to want to go find out who's who, and what have they done.  You'd think that in such a perilous world where there is a war between humans and vampires and between certain factions of vampires, and in such a precarious situation at the school, she'd want to find out everything and really do her best to protect herself and the Day students.

I guess I'm just not much for the passive types.  ;-)   Although the hot tormented bishies kind of make up for that.

Duzell in kitty form was super-cute, especially when he had that annoyed look on his face, because the Princess was being her usual annoying/endearing self.

The ending really did suck, but yes, I agree with you-- great fun, and a nice twist on the usual vampire cliches.  I don't like how Vampires are almost always depicted in a super-serious, furrowed-eyebrows kind of way.

The links for Othello v01-02, 07 are still alive. Just follow the directions for "how to download from turboupload" line by line on the Manga Download Rules section and you'll be able to download the file.

Gaah.  There must be something I'm missing (brain cells? sanity?) , because I did follow the directions exactly and let me tell you where it doesn't work:

Now, I went through the directions:

   1. Click on the link of the download that you want
   2. Wait till the timer in the bottom left hand side gets to 0
   3. Input the text you see in the box and click Download Page
   4. Click here to download file

[RIGHT HERE-  after I have clicked, no pop-up shows up.  Instead,I get kicked to a blank page, and the bottom of my browser (where you get error messages and such) just says "Done", meaning that the page and all its elements have completed loading.  Now, other TurboUpload links that I have used today have worked-- namely, in that the pop-up did appear, allowing me to download, so I don't think it's a matter of my browser settings.]

   5. A pop up will come up asking you where to save the file
   6. Wait for 1-2 minutes to download the next manga

Any ideas?   Also, these Othello files were the very first files I tried to download at TurboUpload today, so I do not think it was a matter of bandwith maximums or anything like that.

Othello v01-v02, and Othello v07 are broken.  Can these be re-uploaded?

When you click on the TurboUpload links, they kick you to a blank page rather than giving you the pop-up to d/l the file.  (The other Othello volumes' links are working, as I've just checked those.)

Many thanks!

This is my favorite series of all time!

I love Haruhi's calm, dead-pan approach to all the host club members' antics.   And yes, I love those evil Hitachiin twins!

I've been reading the manga, and I've only seen the 1st movie-- I agree that it's pretty faithful to the manga.

I do like Nika Nakashima's portrayal of the punk Nana (Oosaki).  The music's pretty good, too.   When I was reading the manga, and heard about the movie, I did wonder how they were going to do the music for the movie and whether it'd actually fit.

I want to like Nana Komatsu and yet, her naive, cluelessness really gets on my nerves.  It's the sort of naivete you'd see in the really cutesy shoujo stuff starring some 15-yr old highschooler, but it just seems so appallingly stupid in someone who's done with high school, an art college dropout, the former lover of a married man, and who's had a string of jobs already.  And yet-- it's the stuff of real life-- the sweet, stupidly naive people (both male and female) who are temperamentally like Nana Komatsu tend to attract the parasitic, strong, and manipulative types like Takumi, who know that they'll always be able to keep the Nana Komatsus of the world under their thumb.  So yes, it is depressingly like real life in some aspects.

But at least, I can cheer on Nana (Oosaki) and Ren!

I agree that the anime is a bit plotless, but is the manga!   It's mostly made up of vignettes where the guys try to change Sunako into a lady, but she is blissfully immune to all of that ultimately.  And that's part of the fun-- I just love the wacky and unique characters so much that I want them to stay together, and stay the same.

I think in Vol. 16 of the manga, in the mangaka's notes section, Hayakawa-san says that her editors have been bugging her to do more character development and to move the story along, but....I really don't want it to end!  I want it to continue forever, with Sunako and her bishonen roommates carrying on in their silly escapades!

Thank you, Goldlilys and everyone who's uploaded and who's made this site the great resource and community it is.

I've discovered lots of new series, and being someone who likes print media (smelling the ink on the pages, and actually turning pages), I have spent tons of $$$ at Amazon and after I discovered some of these mangas.   (Everybody seems to think that the U.S. will slide into a recession, but perhaps, since I'm spending all my disposable income at these places, at least these 2 companies will have good profit numbers....)  :icon_flower:

Anyways, I've been reading manga for the past 5yrs and I hope I never stop.  Some of my favorite series are "Wild Ones/Arakure", "Love Attack," "Perfect Girl Evolution", and the manwha "Bring It On!"  Good to see some strong girls being depicted in manga.   :icon_thumleft:
