As many of you have noticed, there hasn't been much updates lately. Goldlilys and the staff are currently very busy with work and life matters and don't have much time to dedicate to the site. Goldlilys, that's me ... I'm starting my own web development business and though I love the flexibility of how I control my work and play time, since I'm just starting out, I may not have enough time to devote to my other hobbies like before.
Don't worry, I'll still be continuing these other hobbies, but cannot share much for now. I'm also thinking of a better way to organize Goldlilys Media Gallery site more and lessen the clutter. The last time the main site was updated was on 2010 and I think I got way over my head when I discovered Drupal. I added too many features that weren't needed and used the wrong methods to code custom features. Of course, this was during the time when I was a newbie to Drupal. But now that I know more, I totally want to redo the entire site again to lessen the clutter and use the latest trends in web development.
Another reason why I have to temporarily close the Gallery site is because it's the main cause for most of the downtimes on my server. With all of the wrong code methods, the site uses too much resources that other sites stored on my server are also suffering. Best solution is to just disable the Gallery site until I finish upgrading it.
Please understand and hope you all come back when the site upgrade is done. Will be sure to post more updates about it here in the forum. Thank you so much for your continued support of Goldlilys Media Gallery.
